Life After Daredevil

Or... "Dammit! They found a way to keep me picking up their books."

Here's the cover to the first issue of Brian Bendis and Alex Maleev's upcoming Spider-Woman series.

Nevertheless, it's good to see that they're stickin' together.

So, is Spider-Woman now the Marvel version of Power-Girl? I think I'd actually blush a little if I brought this up to the sales counter....

I think that there's going to be so many copies sold that you can probably get the first issue with no embarrassment...

Now, if the story sucks and you keep buying it for the chesecake covers, you might want to tuck it between two more credible books as you approach the counter.

However, with Bendis writing and with it being more covert operations than super-hero, it may actually be pretty good.

Bendis has done a great job with Daredevil and he really knows how to play to Maleev's artistic strengths. Although, I was not too impressed with New Avengers. He seems like a fish out of water on that one.
He works best, I think, on more realistic characters and urban scenarios.
