Streaming Classic Alternative

After reading Psychbloke's post about New Beat music of the late '80s, I figured that I could use some music in my life again. Shortly thereafter I began searching for some New Beat tunes and veered off towards EBM (I've always liked that genre).

However, what I found was a bit too downbeat for my tastes at the moment and I wandered around the 'net a bit more.

And then I found a streaming internet-radio station that specializes in classic alternative music. I've seen a few of these before and most have too much '80s pop mixed in. Or they have incomplete collections of artists.

Flashback Alternatives has a large selection of songs. The artist tracks are near complete.
And hardly a pop song in site.

Plus there's a request function that allows you to make queues to the playlist. Choose wisely, though, because you only get four requests every four hours. They may seem too limiting, but imagine if you wanted to hear that one Kate Bush song and someone else has just queued every Cure song in existence... At least it's fair this way.

Flashback Alternatives may just become my new favorite station.

Sorry... i've watched too much Prisoner to have a weak will.
;-)

Although, what I did hear was pretty cool. Nothing like porn snippets sampled over a slow beat with grinding bass...
