Update to Quick and Dirty Mothership Character Generation

 I posted a while back an alternate way of randomly creating characters for Mothership using playing cards.
This can be found here.

 Recently, I came across the Randomized Identity Generator over at The Hotline, where they did some changes to bring some Traveller elements into play.

Then, I also saw that this was updated to the Randomized Identity Generator v2. Looking it over, I liked how they handled the Saves and it inspired me to make a couple changes to my own generation system.

The first part is still basically the same as my last post, but I get rid of the core classes. Your 'class' is instead more reflective of the skills you choose. Similar to the Custom Backgrounds found here.

For each character-

Take a deck of cards and remove the face cards and jokers.
This should leave 40 cards. Shuffle.

Draw cards until you have six non-face cards. (Set aside the first face card for later)
Add them together. This is your Strength.

Set these cards aside and draw until you have six more non-face cards.
Add them together. This is your Speed.

Do this again for the other two attributes, Intellect and Combat.

In all, you will use 24 of the 40 cards, with a guarantee that you won't 'roll' a 1 or a 10 more than four times in generation.

Once you have your Strength, Speed, Intellect and Combat written down, it's time for your Saves.

Write down Sanity, Fear, Body and Armor.

What we're going to do is 'prioritize' them.

Shuffle the 40 cards back together again and draw until you have one of each suit. Keep track of what order you draw them in.

Once you have one of each suit, you're going to apply the first one to Sanity, the second to Fear, the third to Body and the last one to Armor.

The values are as follows:
Spades = 40
Hearts = 35
Clubs = 30
Diamonds = 25

Once you have these written, there's something else we must do.

Check to see which of your Saves is at 40. Using this Save, apply the following bonuses to your stats:
Sanity - add 10 to Intellect
Fear - add 5 to Speed and 5 to either Strength or Intellect, whichever is highest
Body - add 5 to Strength and 5 to Speed
Armor - add 5 to Combat and 5 to either Strength or Speed, whichever is highest

For Skills-
If the character's highest stat is Intellect, they get 9 skill points.
If the character's lowest stat is Intellect, they start with only 5 skill pints.
Otherwise, they get 7 points to use for skills.
Note that Master Skills cannot be selected for new characters.

Once you're done with skills, pick a loadout or select your equipment however you choose to.

Also...
If you have a specific character in mind to play, once you have your stat scores drawn you may move the highest and the lowest scores to where they would most fit for that character before continuing on to generating their Saves.
